As a freelance dramaturg, I work primarily with theaters to conduct research on the show itself.

I believe that dramaturgy is the blood coursing through the veins of any production. You cut open a production, and dramaturgy oozes out of the veins.

In turn, this research can be used for dramaturgical packets, marketing materials, and the production itself.

My scholarship focuses on answering the questions: Why this show? Why now?

Through answering these questions, ​I'm able to help directors and theaters better understand their reasonings for producing work in our modern age.
