Frederick D. Miller is an award-winning musical theatre dramaturg and theatre historian, based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Recent & Upcoming In Spring 2024, Frederick completed his MA in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Miller recently served as the production dramaturg for the Off-Broadway revival of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Lucky Stiff, featuring a revised libretto. In August 2024, Frederick will present his paper, "It's a Scandal! It's an Outrage!: Disrupting Nostalgia in Daniel Fish's Revived Oklahoma! (2019)," at the 2024 Association for Theatre in Higher Education conference in Atlanta, GA. The paper will later be reworked for publication with MusicTheatre/Dance in winter 2025 under the mentorship of Dr. Ariel Nereson. |
