For my work on Angels in America, I stared closely at the ties between the administrations of former presidents Donald J. Trump and Ronald Reagan. Producing this play in early 2020 bore new significance as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded before our eyes.
For a cast of primarily undergraduates, the AIDS crisis is something only studied in history books. My dramaturgical research sought to bridge the gap that separated our generation from those whose shoulders we stand on. For my work on Angels in America, I was awarded a Special Commendation for Outstanding Research by the 2021 KC/ACTF Region II Festival. Dramaturgical Materials
